On this site you will find
- a daily agenda
- course lecture recordings,
- course resources
- course activities .
The main objective of this course is provide an opportunity for preservice teachers to examine and explore various Information and Communications technologies.
It is impossible to teach every possible ICT tool or practice, instead participants will be taught how to teach themselves and each will be encouraged to develop a sense of confidence and competence with web based tools and online environments.
Each class will be presented in a live Zoom videoconference . A recording will be available after the class is complete. Brandon University PENT expects every participant to attend every lecture. Attendance will be recorded, you must have your camera on with your face visible. Only the active speaker (usually the instructor ) will appear in the recording.
Class recordings are for review and reflection and should not replace live attendance and active participation. Failure to attend or complete activities in a timely way could lead to suspension and loss of sponsorship.
When learning in an virtual environment best practice is to have a second monitor, one to watch the class presentation to follow instruction and a second screen to attempt and complete activities.
A recording of the class will be posted here after the class. Allow about an hour for the recording to be processed and posted. The recordings will be automatically erased each week but you can download the recording to your computer.
